Roleplaying or Rping, is the way characters interact and the way we post in In Character boards. I'm going to be helping you figure out how to roleplay if you don't know how to.
To start a good rp, try talking about what your character is doing or a description of the area. I think these are the best ways to go, but there is other ways to start. It can be as simple as '[Character name] looked around the forest.' or as complex as '[Character name] looked at the crisp autumn leaves falling from the oak trees.' It doesn't matter. It might help other people if you make it detailed though, but it will be fine if you don't. Now that you have started, it's time to work on the body of rp.
The body of the roleplay is the middle of it. It might be a good idea to try putting what your character was doing or hoping to achieve. Maybe they went to get bread, or maybe they were looking for friends? Anything could work. You might also want to try adding what they are thinking. Here is a small example.
He had been inside all day long and just had to get outside. James had been sick for the last week, but he didn't care. He loved feeling the wind on his face and the thought of being stuck in the house again drove him crazy. I have to go outside., he thought. So, James went outside and felt the crisp leaves hit his shirt and pants.
Now, we need to know how to finish it. I personally find it best to end it with the character saying something. I think most people do to, but you can try new things. Maybe they hear something or sit in a tree. It's all up to you. Here's an example.
James climbed up a tree and sat on the thickest branch. "I'm back!", he said cheerfully.
OOC stuff can be posted. All you have to do is put it in parentheses. Her is an example.
(I wish I had a cookie. xD)
